Frequent questions

In which currencies can I charge using ONVO?
With ONVO you can process transactions in the local currency of the country where you have activated your account (example: if you activated your account by selecting Costa Rica, you will have transactions in colones) and you can also process in US dollars.
How often do I get paid and where?
Settlements will be made to the bank account that you have added and selected through your ONVO account. A daily cut is made and you will have access to that money the next business day.
Is there a minimum amount for settlements?
The minimum amount for making settlements has been set at $30 or ₡20,000 and aims to protect the financial health of the businesses affiliated with ONVO. This is because in cases of low transactionality, the cost of the SINPE transfer ($3) could consume a significant percentage of the amount to be settled, or even exceed the value of the sale generated.
How much do they charge me for using SINPE and SINPE Mobile as payment methods?
In the case of payments through SINPE, it will be 2.5% per transaction with a minimum cost of US$0.5, while for payments through SINPE Mobile it will be 1.5% per successful transaction. Remember that by charging through ONVO you will have consolidated information of all your transactions, with fraud protection, secure storage of your and your customers' data, reporting, and many other benefits and tools that will boost your business.
What withholdings apply to the sales generated by my business?
ONVO applies the withholding percentages determined by the Ministry of Finance according to the registered economic activity. For a large majority of businesses this means 5.31% of the Value Added Tax (VAT) and 2% of Income, but there are companies that qualify for a differentiated rate for being under a special regime. If that is your case, we can make the adjustment once you provide us with the corresponding certification.
